Company Leadership
President Sean Emmerton
Sean Emmerton began his career in hotel business in 1990. Over the course of the next five years, he lived all over the world, working in Scottsdale, Arizona, Hanbury Manor in the UK, and Grand Wailea, Hawaii. Los Cabos and making the start of Sales and Marketing at Rosewood Hotels and Resorts, opening Las Ventanas al Paraiso in Los Cabos and making the start of his 25 years of operation in the region. His role at Las Ventanas al Paraiso was instrumental in transforming Cabo into the high-end resort destination that is synonymous with today.
After founding the Los Cabos Tourism Board under the Hotel Association in 1998, Sean turned his attention to renting. He created the first-ever rental program at Villas Del Mar, which he successfully ran for nearly 15 years. In 2015, Sean joined Journey Mexico using his expertise to create villa rental programs for all the major tourist destinations in Mexico.
Today, Sean and his son Hunter operate Distinguished Residences in America and Europe. Their initial collection of five homes in the exclusive Villas Del Mar community in Los Cabos, Mexico has grown to nearly 30 properties in two continents.
